Greencastle  is on the Inishowen Peninsula and it is without doubt one of the most scenic parts of Co. Donegal.  Greencastle Village extrudes the type of charm one would expect from a busy fishing port and features the renowned Kealey's Seafood Bar/Restaurant - a destination in itself for many people visiting this part of the country.  Within a short drive there is also a fine sandy beach at Stroove.  Greencastle Golf Club provides a testing, scenic 18-hole links course and is within walking distance.  Further local courses include the 2 championship link courses at Ballyliffen Golf Club (about 30 minutes drive) and the North-West Golf Club at Lisfannon, Buncrana (also about 30 minutes).
